Here comes the sun! (….we hope)

After weeks of rain, there are signs that spring is on its way.  The Mashooq team has had its spirits lifted with sightings of daffodils and crocuses starting to add some welcome splashes of colour to replace the greys and browns of winter.

And with the days getting longer our thoughts have turned to giving our skin a treat and preparing it for the sunnier, warmer days to come.

Did you know that Mashooq’s Deep Penetrating Oil can be used on your skin?  We have been experimenting with some home recipes to exfoliate the skin. 

We loved the results so much that we wanted to share them with you.

FACIAL EXFOLIATOR

Mix one teaspoon of Mashooq’s Deep Penetrating Oil with one teaspoonful of sugar.

Cleanse your face well then massage the mixture into the skin on your face and neck, using gentle circular movements and avoiding the eye area.  Rinse off with warm water and follow with a light moisturiser.

BODY EXFOLIATOR

Mix one dessert spoon of Mashooq’s Deep Penetrating Oil with half a dessert spoon of coarse sea salt.

Massage the mixture over the entire body and rinse off under the shower or in a warm bath.  Remember to pay attention to areas prone to dry skin such as elbows and feet.
